2017 MACEP Emergency Medicine Reimbursement & Coding Conference
This one day program will offer practical information and updates on reimbursement and coding through lectures and a panel discussion. The lectures are intended to build on existing knowledge while at the same time offering practical guidance in the handling of coding, reimbursement and compliance.
The course will cover the fundamentals of emergency medicine coding and procedure documentation including guidelines for Medicare and private payers, methods for fine tuning coding procuedures, specific chart review geared to improving those reviews; case studies on proceudres, provide updates on pay-for-performance, and conclude with a panel discussion for specific coding, compliance and reimbursement questions.
Separate concurrent breakout lectures will be provided geared to the specific educational needs of professional coders and emergency physicians.
